TAPING --
Since the long-range goal of
the Ephesians 4 Center for Learning is to educate and strengthen
as many individuals as possible in the Body of Christ, we have
chosen to permit both video and audio taping of all classroom
sessions, provided that the methods used to tape the class to
do not hinder in any way the instructor from teaching or the
students from learning. Should taping efforts prove to be a
distraction or a hindrance for either the instructor or the
students, the individual(s) will be asked to stop until such
time as they are able to work out an arrangement that is mutually
satisfactory to the professor and them.
--
PROBLEMS --
If you come into personal or
financial difficulty, or if a problem develops concerning some
aspect of the Ephesians 4 Center for Learning, please consult
with one of the staff immediately. Do not allow any problem
to grow until it becomes insurmountable. You should especially
speak to a staff member if you are thinking about withdrawing
from the Ephesians 4 Center for Learning. We are ready to do
all that we can to help you to obtain maximum benefit from your
studies.
--
DIFFERENCES OF OPINION --
You are not expected to agree
with everything that will be taught by our various instructors.
But you are expected to treat the views of the lecturers and
of your fellow students with respect. If you disagree with something
that is being taught, you should listen as openly as possible,
giving due attention to everything the Holy Spirit may be trying
to say to you.
You should not expect the Holy
Spirit to speak to every student in the same way, nor to lead
him or her all in the same direction. God has a multifaceted
plan to suit the extraordinary diversity that exists in the
church. There is much that we can all learn from each other's
differences.
In assignments you will be free
to express your own views, but at other times you will be required
to show that you understand alternative viewpoints, and specifically
to express that different opinion, even if it conflicts with
your personal beliefs. You should follow the instructions of
your teachers in the preparation of assignments.
--
VISITORS --
Visitors are welcome into the
classroom. All that we require of them is that they make some
donation at the end of the class, based on their financial situation
and the benefit which they received from the class and that
they fill in a simple, one-page registration form which allows
us to inform them and all of our other students of upcoming
classes and events. Under no circumstances will the information
given in this Registration Form be made available to other organizations,
particularly for the purposes of marketing.
--
QUESTIONS --
You are encouraged to ask questions
during classes. If you want to ask a question, do not just call
out; please raise your hand, and wait for the instructor to
respond. Remember also that the compressed nature of the course
does not always allow time for extended discussion of problem
areas. Usually you will have to be content with the instructor's
response (even if you continue to disagree) and allow him or
her to continue on with the class. You will be able to find
time to receive greater clarity over a period of time and in
a personal or group discussion. Special time will be set aside
after each classroom session for questions and personal ministry
time.
--
DRESS CODE --
There are no prescribed forms
of dress. However, you are asked to bear in mind the following
standards:
Cleanliness
Neatness
Modesty
Students who fail to observe
those standards will be asked to leave that particular class
session until more modest apparel can be put on. This particularly
applies to exposure of undergarments of any kind and the excessive
exposure of body parts deemed necessary of modesty by Scripture.
Clothing items with offensive phrases or pictures, particularly
of a sexual or Satanic nature, will not be allowed in class.
--
GENERAL BEHAVIOR --
While it is always true that
Christians reflect their faith by the way they live, it is particularly
true of Ephesians 4 Center for Learning students. People rightly
expect your conduct to be of a very high standard. Furthermore,
how you behave affects the image of the Ephesians 4 Center for
Learning. We are confident that you will strive always to bring
honor to your school and to Christ by an example of mature godliness.
--
NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY --
The Ephesians 4 Center for Learning
admits students of any race, religion, color, national and ethnic
origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities
generally accorded or made available to students. It does not
discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national
and ethnic origin, or sex in administration of its educational
policies, admissions policies, scholarships, and loan programs.
The Ephesians 4 Center for Learning does not discriminate in
admission or access to or treatment or employment in this program
and activities in respect to those with impaired vision, hearing
or physical mobility.
